I hate my job. It sounds like a cliche since half the people going back to school are doing so because they hate their jobs too, but I really hate my job. I work for a small law office that has only been open for less than a year, but there are some shady stuff happening. on the outside everything is fine, like if you check BBB, they have an A- which is great, but we forge signatures, take peoples' money, and scam the banks to get the clients a modification and no matter how hard I work, it is never enough. Someone is always getting fired, and I go to work everyday expecting the worst instead of loving my job. Instead of crying about it, I have applied to other jobs but the jobs I want are for the county, city, and state and they take forever. Still waiting on 911 dispatcher to call me. Work is getting so stressful I am praying they fire me so that I can get unemployment, and at the end of the day, my twins only get 1/4 of me before retiring to bed for the next day, and lets not talk about me and my fiance's personal life since this job. Still I keep pushing.

I can relate to not liking my job, but right now I am grateful for my job. But I want to go to school so I can get something better and not work the hours that I do. I work for a major retail chain. Several years ago I went to a technical college in my state. I got a diploma in Business and office technology and I got a certificate in medical billing and coding, plus I have worked some in the medical field, but even with that it hasn't helped me to find something in that field. So I am hoping with an associate's degree in Business Administration with concenstration in medical coding and billing that it will give me more opportunities to find something better. Anyway I am looking forward to taking my online classes at AIU, but somewhat nervous too because I haven't never done anything like this so I don't really know what to accept. Plus some of the classes I am worried about and don't know how I will do in them. But I want to do this so I am going to give it a go.

I have been out of school since 1984! I went back to school this year at AIU. A lot of people thought I was crazy and could not do it. My husband stood by me and gave me encouragement. I am doing great. It is difficult, but I expected it to be. Hang in there... you can do it. I am in the retail business right now, but I want to change my career and move toward the technical industry. This is a huge leap; however, I am determinded to put forth my best effort and succeed. I also have a job that I do not like, but I am making strides to change that. I strongly believe that with a degree my opportunities will be far reaching. I am striving to find a hobby that pays my bills... not just a job. Because, I would then enjoy my work. Good luck to both of you and I will keep you in my prayers. Susan

I too pull into the parking lot of work everyday having to drag myself out of the car to walk into my workplace. The economy is so rough now that it is hard to find jobs. Here I have an Associates degree and am working at a telemarketing place doing sales. I hate it with a passion, but I have two mouths to feed. I also wish everyday that we would get laid off so I could collect unemployment. They change our hours two days before the new change and we can't plan around anything and the worst part is I dont get to see my kids. I know in the end the schooling that I've had will pay off but right now it seems so worthless. I'm in my Bachelors for Criminal Justice and you know there is crime everywhere everyday so I'm hoping that it will take me somewhere. I have been looking into anything like dispatch, filing at the courthouse anything to get my foot in the door, but nothing! It's so disappointing:(

Hello everyone, I just wanted to tell my story. I was in between jobs for several years. Then I started working for a temporary service for about a year, and was laid off, loss my car, and was forced to draw unemployment. I was struggling to pay bills and suffering in school. I seen my world shattering and didn't no what to do.

Recently, I was inspired and began a career with AVON, the company for women. I didn't think I could do it with the way the economy is today, but I stayed positive and focused on my dreams and goals.

I just want to extend the opportunity, you can start part-time, work while your at work, work around your schedule, be your own boss, and have control of your future. You can accomplish your goals. Its not expensive to start, just think, you can get started for a little more than a tube of lipstick. I am excited with the career choice that I've made.

I haven't been working as an Independent Sales Rep for long, but I enjoy it. I am back in school and working toward accomplishing other goals. If you would like more information about the opportunity visit my website www.youravon.com/nataushadavis on the bottom right side of the home-page is a link, click on the link become a representative, and someone will contact you.

Empower yourself in the future! Yes you can!
