If you are having a hard time reading the title of this post, then you may be missing an important career skill for today’s environment. The question is, are you text savvy? Do you text or have you been avoiding developing this career skill?

I admit it isn’t for everyone but you should be aware of the pros and cons of this communication medium. I prolonged its use as long as possible and had to get some of my associates to give me some crash course lessons. It isn’t my favorite mode of communication but it sure works well when I’m in a hurry and have limited access to my tools. Trying new technology and learning new skills are all part of adding to your career package of being more marketable.
