Jennie E. Ver Steeg

Jennie Ver Steeg is the Library Director of American InterContinental University Online (AIU). She is a die-hard Iowan with a B.S. in Child Development and master's degrees in Child Development and English from Iowa State University, as well as a M.A. in Library and Information Science from the University of Iowa.

Before coming to AIU Online, Ms, Ver Steeg had been a writing tutor, a nanny, a freshman composition instructor, a "chopper" in the Better Homes and Gardens test kitchen, the director of a small public library in Iowa, a reference librarian in the western suburbs of Chicago, and most recently the liaison librarian to the college of Education at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL, for seven years.

Ms. Ver Steeg lives in the northwestern suburbs of Chicago with her husband, a fellow librarian, and their three cats, Trinket, Hover and Yowlie.
