Time outside work, school and home

Who has time for leisure when dinner needs to be cooked, clothes washed, assignments due, children need help with homework and the hubby wants attention? Where is the time for self? Is there any left in the day, month or year? Is there such a thing called R and R?
Well mom, you must make time for yourself or else you will forget how fun you used to be and how pretty you used to look. Although you have many hats to wear, take the hat off the shelf with your name on it, even if it’s a little dusty. It is time to bring forth organization so that the house is clean, food is prepared and everyone in the house has had some of your time.
Time for self can be once per week or once per month. Sometimes one hour in the day can be great too! Just think how good it will feel knowing you have that time coming. Be sure to plan something such as sitting in a café to read a book or hanging out with girlfriends for a movie or bite to eat.
Lunch hours don’t count. Remember — life outside work. Sitting in a room in the house alone does not count — life outside home. Arriving to class early does not count — life outside school.
Don’t be afraid to ask your hubby and children to help around the house too. They can put on some of those hats once in a while even though your hat will always be better!
